Games for Growth - NDIS Supported Group
More than a social group.
In 2024, we launched our supported Board Game Social Group, inspired by the success of our Dungeons & Dragons sessions and the enthusiasm of participants who wanted more ways to connect, play, and grow in a safe and inclusive space.
Facilitated by support workers and designed to align with individual NDIS goals, these sessions offer opportunities to build social skills, develop strategic thinking, and enjoy a variety of games together. From cooperative adventures to competitive classics, each game is chosen to encourage participation, teamwork, and confidence.
About our program
Our board game groups typically consist of four to six active participants. All sessions are run face to face and facilitated by a support worker, with another team member present to ensure one-on-one support is available throughout. If you would prefer an online version, please let us know and we can explore that option.
We aim to make these groups as accessible as possible, which is why we take time to learn about each interested participant before forming a group. From there, we work to establish a schedule that suits everyone and choose a location that is convenient. Our goal is to make sure you are involved every step of the way.

Participants are encouraged to share their preferences and help choose what we play each week. You’re also welcome to bring your own board games to share with the group.

The pricing listed below applies to group sessions held during weekday daytime hours. The standard charge rate for most group sessions is $35.12 per hour. This rate is based on a 1:2 support worker-to-participant ratio, with four participants in the campaign.
Due to demand for certain groups, pricing may vary. However, all charge rates will be clearly communicated to participants prior to any commitments, so you can make informed decisions.
If you have NDIS funding (Self-Managed or Plan-Managed), our programs are aligned with the following support categories:

Alternatively, our programs are also available for private payment, offering flexibility for those not accessing NDIS supports.
